Jesus was born in a manager at Bethlehem a long time ago. Angels filled the sky and told them of his birth.

The animals and shepherds came to visit Him. Three wise men visited Him and brought Him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

Jesus grew and was a kid like me! He liked spending time in the temple. He had friends and helpers - the 12 disciples.

He taught people about God and love.

He made miracles like calming to stormy sea and healing the 10 leapers. He even made a paralyzed man walk! One time, he fed 5,000 people with only two fish and five loaves of bread. He also made a blind man see!

He showed God's love to everyone. For Passover, he rode in on a donkey. The people shouted "Hosanna" and waved palm branches.

But not everyone liked Jesus. Jesus knew He was going to die soon, so He had one last supper with His friends. Then He went to the garden to pray. While He was in the garden, some guards came to arrest Him.

They punished Him for things He didn't even do. They nailed Him to a cross and He died for our sins.

His friends put His body in a tomb and rolled a rock in front of it. When they came back to check on Him, He wasn't there!

He had risen on Easter morning! Hallelujah!
