If you are considering starting the private school registration process in west Asheville, Emmanuel Lutheran School is accepting applications for the upcoming school year.
Emmanuel Lutheran School is a Christian-based, accredited private school. We create a safe, supportive environment in which kids are challenged to develop intellectually and spiritually. Furthermore, we aim for excellence and recognize each child's unique and special talents.

The first step is to arrange a campus visit with or without your child. We will take you around the campus and answer any questions you might have. You can schedule a visit to our classrooms during school hours by going online and selecting a specific time.
After you've taken a tour of our campus, you can schedule a shadow day for your student to get a firsthand look at what it's like in the classroom at Emmanuel. During their time with us, your child will be matched with a friendly ELS student who will serve as their host.
Submit an application online after your visit with us. Before starting school, all new children will be assessed to determine their appropriate grade placement. After your registration is complete, our director of admissions will establish a testing date for your child.
We provide financial assistance through ELS in addition to the NC Opportunity Scholarship and for families that do not qualify for the NC Opportunity Scholarship. Before applying for ELS financial help, all financial aid applicants must first apply for the NC Opportunity Scholarship.
