Student life is designed to foster academic excellence, spiritual growth, and a strong sense of community. We believe that learning is not only about gaining knowledge but also about developing character, cultivating relationships, and living out faith in daily actions. Here’s what student life looks like at our school:
Our students are engaged in a rigorous, well-rounded curriculum that challenges them to think critically, solve problems, and develop a love for learning. From early literacy and math concepts in kindergarten to in-depth studies in history, science, literature, and the arts, we ensure that each student is prepared for future academic success.
At the heart of our school is a commitment to Christ-centered education. Weekly chapel services, Bible lessons, and Christian-based education are woven into every subject area. Students learn to see the world through a biblical lens, understanding the importance of love, compassion, service, and integrity. Our teachers not only impart academic knowledge but also model Christlike behavior, helping students grow spiritually and ethically.
Building lasting relationships is a cornerstone of student life at our school. From friendships made in the classroom to the camaraderie built during extracurricular activities, students feel part of a tight-knit, supportive Christian community. Chapel services, family groups, and school-wide events encourage fellowship, helping students feel connected not only to each other but to the larger body of Christ.
Our school fosters a spirit of leadership and responsibility. As students move through the grades, they are given increasing opportunities to lead and serve. Beginning in third grade, students are elected to be class representatives for student council, as well as our middle school students being elected to hold student counil offices. Older students have the chance to be role models for younger ones, while younger students are encouraged to look up to their older peers. This creates a cycle of positive influence and growth that strengthens the entire school community.
Above all, we strive to create a safe, caring, and nurturing environment where every student feels valued, respected, and loved. Teachers and staff are committed to the well-being of each child, addressing their emotional, social, and spiritual needs alongside their academic growth.
We recognize that parents are essential partners in the educational process. Our school encourages active parent involvement through volunteer opportunities, school events, and parent-teacher conferences. We believe that a strong partnership between school and home creates the best foundation for a child's success.
At ELS, we aim to develop well-rounded students who are not only academically prepared but also spiritually grounded, socially responsible, and equipped to live out their faith in the world. We’re excited to walk alongside your child in this journey of growth, learning, and faith.
